Information

The GE4 is a French non profit private association, offering a flexible framework open to international members, representing themselves as persons or professional bodies, based in Paris, France.

  • administered by a European Executive Committee and a General Secretariat
  • gathering on its Board its industry and university members from France, Germany, Austria, Denmark, Spain, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy, Finland and Portugal.
  • interacting with more than 90 universities in Europe, the US, Latin America, Asia and Russia.

    Governmental offices, foundations and other international institutions are serving on the Advisory Board,
    Representatives on the highest level from the European Union, the USA, Latin America and Asia serve on the International Advisory Board.

    Aims

  • to foster communication between young graduates and European firms
  • to build partnerships with organizations in America and Asia
  • to overcome obstacles for mobility.

    Exchange programs

    All our programmes are organized between the GE4 member universities (42 universities in 9 European countries) and a network of partners overseas.

    AE3/Global E3: the programme started in 1995. Now, 32 US universities participate in the exchanges; more than 750 students spent a fully validated academic/industrial period abroad.

    ASE3: agreement signed in 97, under the coordination of GE4 and the National University of Singapore, between the GE4 members and 15 universities in ASEAN. First exchanges have started in August 1999.

    RE3: an exchange program with 9 Russian universities signed in June 1997 is presently exchanging faculty and comparing curricula. Meetings have been held in June 1998 in St. Petersburg, then in Paris. In June 2006, a conference was organized in St Petersburg to boost the cooperation.

    LAE3: a Latin America/Europe program has been established first semester 2000, after a preparatory mission to Brazil, Argentina and Chile and the student exchanges have started in the fall 2000. A plenary meeting was held in Buenos Aires in November 2004.

    JE3: a cooperation agreement signed betwenn GE4 and the Tohoku university to facilitate the exchanges of students, more specifically the participation of European students in the JYPE ( Junior Year Program in English).

    In addition to these exchange programmes for students, our member universities organise language and cultural sessions in France, Germany, Spain and Denmark for foreign students. This validated programs aim at introducing the participants to national specificities in Education, Industry and Culture, easing their integration in future academic exchanges.
